Ringer, GPS, Mic, & CarPlay trouble on 2014 QX60

My neighbor Dan has this 2014 Infiniti QX60 Sensory, and he's been pulling his hair out over a couple of things, so I told him I'd ask the experts here.

First off, when he's just cruising, listening to his tunes, and his phone rings, the ringer is SO loud it practically makes him jump out of his skin!

How on earth do you turn down just the ringer volume so his music can stay loud?

And is there a setting so the incoming call properly interrupts the music, or does it just blast over it?

Secondly, when he's actually on a call, holding his iPhone to his ear, the GPS navigator decides to chime in at full blast, totally wrecking his conversation.

He literally has to turn off the GPS to talk! It's really weird, any ideas there?

Also, since it's a 2014, is there any chance for Apple CarPlay to be added? He's pretty old school but loves the idea.

Thanks in advance for any insights!

I guess for the ringer, have Dan go into the Bluetooth settings on the infotainment screen. There's usually a separate ringer volume he can adjust while a call is coming in. He just needs to lower it while the phone is ringing, IDK. I'm pretty sure. It's kinda weird but that's how it works.

Has your neighbor checked the Infiniti's audio settings to adjust just the ringer volume separately? Do you know if his model supports a software update or aftermarket Apple CarPlay integration?
