Warranty voided over dealer's mistake? Or just plain scam

I recently bought a used 2018 QX60 with 49k miles on it and full service records from a local dealer, after a few days it started blowing blue smoke. Infiniti denied my warranty claim, saying the car went 16k miles without service, even though I have the original invoice proving otherwise. Now they say it went 9 months without service during the 2022 pandemic, despite it being serviced at normal mileage intervals with full synthetic oil. Infiniti refuses to reinstate the powertrain warranty, even though the issue stems from a mistake or omission by the original dealer. Now im stuck with a car that needs a new engine, no support from the brand and growing frustration after being a loyal Infiniti owner.

@quidditch66 wow, it's horrible that they won't stand by their product, especially with full service records.
First off, do not give up! You need to escalate this way past the local dealer and whoever denied the claim.
Get all your service invoices in order.
Try contacting Infiniti Consumer Affairs directly at the corporate level. You might also want to look into your state's consumer protection laws or lemon laws, even for used cars, there might be avenues for recourse, especially with a major issue so soon after purchase and documented service history. Keep copies of everything!

If Infiniti can void a powertrain warranty over a gap during a global pandemic despite full synthetic oil use and complete records, doesn't that raise serious questions about whether these warranties mean anything at all?

Is a lawyer necessary?
