updating infiniti qx60 2018 map

My dad has a QX60, and the Nav is a train wreck. Yep, years old freeways are missing!
The update message was a slap in the face. He never really cared much about advanced features, so I tried to fix it.
I had to dig around online to find the Nissan/TomTom USB map update tool.

Bought a big USB, went through the wringer plugging it in and out, and finally got the latest map. What a headache, but at least it worked!

Damn, Nissan Nav updates can be a pain for sure. Glad you stuck with it and got the latest maps on the USB. Definitely worth the hassle when those freeway changes mess up directions! Noticed any big improvements since the update?

Map updates are just so slow. I'm just glad you powered through and even thought of doing that. I'll do the same

Yeah 2021 maps are practically ancient at this point, especially with how fast roads change. A plug-and-play Android Auto or carplay unit sounds like a great upgrade. Has your dad shown any interest in switching to something more modern, or is he the type who'd rather stick with what's already in the dash?
