center control panel lighting issue on auto headlights anyone else?

Hey everyone, just curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue. Since I got my car, the center control panel lighting (you know, the climate controls and all that) randomly dims or shuts off whenever the headlights are set to auto,completely unrelated to outside lighting conditions. The only time it goes back to full brightness is when I turn the headlights off, which isn't really a solution.The dealer has acknowledged that this is happening with other 2023 models as well. It's been three months and about 4,000 miles, and there's still no fix.They're hoping Infiniti will come up with a way to bypass the sensor. Has anyone else come across this issue in a 2022 or 2023 model? I'd love to hear if you've found a workaround

That's not cool that the dealer knows it's happening in other '23 models but wants to charge you big bucks for a fix!

it sounds connected because it happened right after the recall work. Sticking with the dealer and pushing them on this since they know it's a known issue, seems like the right move.

but I think without a proper fix from Infiniti, it doesn't sound like there's a workaround you can do right now.

Yeah, I'm dealing with the exact same thing on my 2023 QX60. The center stack dims like it's reacting to nighttime even when it's broad daylight, and it's always when the headlights are in auto. It's super annoying, especially when you're trying to adjust something and the screen is barely visible. I tried messing with the dimmer knob, screen brightness settings, even did a soft reset, nothing really fixes it unless I switch the headlights to off manually, which obviously isn't a real fix.
My dealer also said Infiniti should be aware of it but no official TSB yet, I think they mentioned it has something to do with how the ambient light sensor is communicating with the BCM and controlling the interior lighting logic.

I guess its pretty common in 2022 and 2023 Infiniti models. Dealers know about it for sure but no action yet. Some people just turn off auto headlights or fiddle with brightness settings to cope for now. Hopefully Infiniti drops a software update soon to sort it out.
